Incoming Freshmen and Transfers:
The MPE is offered for students expecting to attend orientation sessions held by their UCSD College. For the testing schedule for these tests, go to the Additional Math Test Dates. You must complete the testing before going to your College Orientation. You may take the test the night before your orientation. Test results will be available at your orientation.
Continuing Students:
If you are a continuing student and wish to take a UCSD math course which requires a placement test, you may take the MPE at the times and locations shown below under the Additional Math Test Dates. You may pick up the results at the Math Testing and Placement Office, Room 3231 Literature Building during weekday working hours (8:00AM - 4PM) anytime after the day of the test.
Additional Math Test Dates on UCSD campus:
- There is no fee for the test.
- You do not need to register for the test.
- Bring your Social Security Number to the test.
- Please bring a #2 pencil and eraser to the test.
- Calculator use is permitted.
