Online homework will be done through WebWork.

Textbook Exercises  

These assignments will not be turned in and will be not graded; however, certain exam questions are based on textbook homework problems, so understanding the solutions to these problems should help you perform better on the exams. (Also, if you seek help from the instructor or TAs, they may do these problems instead of the online problems.)

Reading: Chapter 1, Sections 1-3. You will not be given graded homework on these sections, but it is expected that you understand the topics. Mathematics builds on previous concepts, so without a good understanding of these sections, you will struggle with the remainder of the course.
