Dear Math 20A Students,

Don't forget to do the Online Homework Opinion Survey posted in Ted (under "Content"). It is an opinion
survey, so there are no wrong answers, but it is an *assignment* and is worth 10 points. The due date is
tonight (Sunday, June 8) at 11:59 pm.

Subject: Re: Math 20A Homework Information [Correction]
Date: June 7, 2014 6:31:34 PM PDT

Hi everyone,

Sorry, there was a mistake in the last email. The total number of points (and thus problems) in WebWork
is 245, not 249.

Sincerely,
Adam Bowers

Subject: Math 20A Homework Information
Date: June 7, 2014 2:13:52 PM PDT

Dear class,

Your WebWork total score (out of 249 points) is now posted to Ted. (That means you had 249 homework
questions in WebWork!)

Make sure you complete the Online Homework Survey that is posted in Ted (under "Content"). It is a
homework assignment that is worth 10 points. It is due Sunday night at 11:59 PM. The survey is anonymous,
so I will not know your responses, but I will know who responded, and failure to complete the survey will
mean a loss of 10 homework points.

Sincerely,
Adam Bowers

P.s. If you were having trouble viewing your Final Exam Seat Assignment, you should be able to see it now.

Subject: Math 20A: Week 10 Announcements
Date: June 1, 2014 10:45:52 PM PDT

Dear Class,

The end of the quarter is approaching and I have a few announcements to make.

1) In Ted, under "Content", you will find an Online Homework Survey. This survey is a HOMEWORK
ASSIGNMENT. There are no wrong answers (it is an opinion survey), but you must complete the survey
to receive full points. This survey has 10 questions and is worth 10 homework points. (The survey
is anonymous. I will not know what you answered, but I will know if you answered.)

2) Speaking of Online Homework: Section 4.7, Problem #3 (the question about the rectangle inscribed
in a circle) included a coding error. Consequently, all students have been given full credit for this
problem. (Not all students experienced the error, but all students received full credit for it.)

3) The Final Exam is Wed, Jun 11 (11:30-2:30 pm). The exam covers all topics discussed in class. You
should expect the distribution of topics to be approximately one-third from Weeks 1-4, one-third from
Weeks 5-8, and one-third from Weeks 9-10. Approximately.

4) Each student has been ASSIGNED A SEAT for the final exam in either Center 109 or Center 105. You
can find your seat assignment listed in Ted in the Grade Center (where your grades are listed).

Sincerely,
Ol' Doc Bowers
