Download postscript file (6 pages)

This paper announces formulas for nonlinear measurement feedback controllers which often do not suffer from the curse of dimensionality beyond what is imposed by statefeedback control. Since on line computation is dominated by its measurement feedback component (state estimation ), this implies that the gigantic parts of the computation can be done off line. In operator theory terms this generalizes Commutant lifting to a broad class of non-linear situations. Also it gives highly nonlinear Nevanlina-Pick formulas.
