Dear Math 11 Students,

**Wed 2:00 - 2:50 pm

Subject: MATH 11 - Bowers [SP16]: Math 11: Week 1 Announcements
Date: March 29, 2016 at 4:41:03 PM PDT

Dear Math 11 Students,

LECTURE NOTES
Slides for Lecture 2 are posted in TritonEd. Go to "Content" and open the "Lecture Slides" directory
to find them.

LAB INFORMATION
The first lab is due FRIDAY. Everything you need to know about the labs is posted here:
http://www.math.ucsd.edu/~math11l/S16.html

HOMEWORK INFORMATION
The first homework assignments are due Wednesday, April 6. You can find information about the homework
assignments on the course webpage:

http://www.math.ucsd.edu/~abowers/11/homework.html

The textbook homework is due at 5:00 pm and must be submitted using your TA's homework dropbox in the
basement of AP&M. Check for the box labeled "Math 11" that has your TA's name on it. Remember, there
are only 4 problems that need to be turned in. The four are specified on the class webpage at the URL
above in the "Turn in" box.

The online homework is due at 11:00 pm. There are THREE online assignments that you have to do:

1) Syllabus Quiz
2) Homework Zero
3) Homework 1

The Syllabus Quiz is on the syllabus. (Surprise!) You have ONE attempt on each question, but you may have
the syllabus open while you take the quiz. Homework Zero is an assignment created by Pearson to help you
learn to use MyStatLab. It is worth 12 points towards your online homework score, but you have an unlimited
number of attempts.

DON'T HAVE YOUR CODE YET???

Good news! MyStatLab has a 14-day grace period. If you start the registration process, it will take you
to a screen where it asks you to “Select an Option”. The main options are “Use an Access Code” and
“Use a Credit Card or PayPal”, but under those, there is a third option that says:

"Waiting for financial aid? Get temporary access without payment for 14 days.”

Click on that one to activate the grace period.

Sincerely,
Ol' Doc Bowers
