SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PROBABILITY SYMPOSIUM
FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

December 1, 2007

This year's Southern California Probability Symposium will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007, at UC Irvine. The talks will take place in McDonnell Douglas Auditorium. Speakers for this year's symposium are:

  • Ken Alexander (USC): The effect of disorder on polymer depinning transitions.
  • Alexei Borodin (CalTech): Large time fluctuations of the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process.
  • Jean-Pierre Fouque (UCSB): On Volatilities.
  • Amber Puha (CSUSM): The Fluid Limit of a Shortest Remaining Processing Time Queue.
  • Jack Xin (UC Irvine): Asymptotic front speeds in random flows.
