William Lowell Putnam
The Putnam Competition is a challenging opportunity for you to test
your mathematical mettle. In the 2016 competition, 4275
individuals participated, representing 554 colleges and
universities across the United States and Canada.
Detailed information and lore can be found at the official
website of the competition.
The competion is open to all undergraduates who have not yet
received a college degree. No individual may participate in the
competition more than four times.
If you are a UCSD undergraduate and wish to participate in the
2017 competition, please contact Prof. Kane.
Problems and solutions for the years 1985-2000 have been collected by
