COURSE DESCRIPTION
The first quarter of the year-long sequence in real analysis: Math 240. The topics for this quarter are measure and integration theory.
Prerequisites: Undergraduate analysis at the level of Math 140AB.
Text Book: Real Analysis: Modern Techniques and Applications by Gerald B. Folland, 2nd edition. The first quarter should cover Chapters 1 - 3, but this may be adjusted.

RECENT UPDATES
1. The midterm will be held during class on Friday Nov 4. Material: Folland up to and including Ch. 2.3.
2. No class on Nov 7 and 9 (and no OH). Instead, two prerecorded lectures will be available on Canvas.
3. Final Exam is on Dec 7 at 3-6pm in APM 5402. Material: Folland up to and including Ch. 3.2.
3. Extra Office Hour on Dec 6 at 2-3pm in APM 6161.
