My interests lie at the interface between mathematical and life sciences. I try to formulate interesting questions in areas of biology, medical and social sciences and linguistics, in the language of mathematics. Then I try to find answers to these questions by developing applied math techniques. The main unifying topic is evolution. The general areas of application are:
